The market opened positive but profit booking was seen in the market in an afternoon session and nifty closed below 10000 level but a huge buying was seen in oil and gas sector. Sensex lost 90.42 points to 31833.99, Nifty lost 32.20 points to 9984.80.

Bharati Airtel by 5.55% to 405.95, HPCL by 3.65% to 452.50, Infratel by 2.71% to 410.70, TCS by 1.66% to 2500 and IOC by 1.62 to 417.50.

Top Losers

Yes Bank by 2.78% to 362.55, SBIN by 2.24% to 251.20, Vedanta Ltd By 2.18% to 314, Tata Motors by 2.16% to 414.45 and Indiabulls Housing Finance by 1.90% to 1257.50.

Analysis of Top Gainer and Loser

Bharati Airtel is the top gainer in today's market as according to reports Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and GIC Singapore are going to acquire Bharti Infratel towers business for USD 11 billion.

Yes Bank is the top loser in today's market as profit booking was seen in stock as the price is at the resistance level.
