The market opened on a negative note and continued to trade in negative due to selling pressure was seen on the upper level. During the afternoon session, selling pressure was seen. In the last hour of trade, selling pressure dragged frontline indices lower on Tuesday as Nifty closed at 10,240.15 down 82.10 points. Sensex closed 227 points down at 33,227.99.

Dr. Reddys Lab up by 2.83% to Rs.2,255.00, ONGC up by 2.77% to Rs.183.85, Adani Ports up by 2.37% to Rs.401.05, GAIL up by 2.24% to Rs.492, Lupin up by 1.00% to Rs.847.50.

Top Losers

HindPetro down by 4.20% to Rs.410.40, Infratel down by 3.29% to Rs.355.95, BPCL down by 3.02% to Rs.498.65, Coal India down by 2.39% Rs.263.40, Eicher Motors down by 2.22% to Rs.28,599.95.

Analysis of Top Gainer and Loser

Dr. Reddys Labs received Establishment Inspection report from USFDA for Bachupally unit. Good delivery buying was seen in the stock.

Hind Petro lost points after global crude oil prices moved on the higher side.

HEG was up nearly 5% to Rs.1,957 on the BSE in intra-day trade after the rating agency India Ratings & Research (Ind-Ra) has upgraded the credit rating of the company as 'IND A+' with positive outlook.

RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani is weighing an initial public offering (IPO) of mobile operator Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, people with knowledge of the matter said, after a $31 billion investment spree that roiled the countrys wireless market.
