The market opened downside over increasing tension in the Korean peninsula and panic selling was seen in each and every sector but IT sector was least affected in this panic market. Nifty has broken its major support of 10,000. Sensex lost 447.60 points to 31922.44, Nifty lost 157.50 points to 9964.40.

HCL Tech by 1.45% to 882.90, Wipro by 0.70% to 293.95, Infratel by 0.66% to 390.20, Tata Motors by 0.33% to 415.

Top Losers

Hindalco by 4.85% to 232.70, Tata Steel by 4.76% to 654.40, Yes Bank by 4.14% to 361.45, Ultratech cement by 3.99% to 3999.90 and Vedanta Ltd by 3.89% to 310.

Analysis of Top Gainer and Loser

HCL Tech is the top gainer in today's market due to Indian currency is on the higher side and it would increase the profit percent of the IT companies.

Hindalco is the top loser in today's market as profit booking was seen in the stock as the price is at the resistance level.

Key Market News-

The big news for the market was that North Korean foreign minister has warned that it could test a powerful nuclear weapon over the Pacific Ocean to response to US President Donald Trump's threats of military action.

Positive news on steel production as according to the latest report of World Steel Association India's crude steel production increased 4% to 8.4 million tonnes (MT) in August compared to 8.1 MT in August last year.
